The trek to Bhitarli was a much‐awaited day for Class V students. This morning the group walked for an hour and a half to cover about 09k.m. to a nearby village Bhitarli, home to Anish and Gaurav.
Being a charitable primary school for the underprivileged village children it is common for children to walk down long distances to school from nearby villages. Gaurav and Anish guided us through the uneven pathways often dotted with slush. The children spend a memorable time in the riverbed‐ sharing their food, climbing the rocks and splashing in the water.
In addition to the staff, Trustees Sri. Sharvan Thadani, Sri. Dilsher Singh Virk and well‐wishers Prof. Margit and Ms. Bimpal Saini also escorted the students.
